The Week In Pictures: November 1/8, 2013

Sunday: Carrie Underwood
You don't usually think of tequila and music education in the same sentence, but Carrie Underwood wants to change that. She dropped by a Nashville studio to sign a gigantic Patron tequila guitar. The proceeds of the guitar sale will benefit the Keep the Music Playing music education program. Good work, tequila.

Monday: Bella Thorne

Apparently Bella Thorne dressed up as a mermaid for charity, but isn't it so much more fun to imagine this is just a thing she does on the weekend? Alas, the Shake It Up star only dons mermaid tails for conservation projects like Save Our Beach. Commendable, sure. Though unleashing your inner fantasy nerd is too.

Tuesday: Avril Lavigne
Avril Lavigne celebrated the release of her new album like any sane pop singer would — by stabbing her cake likeness with a knife. While the shot is a bit goofy, we can't say we disagree with the star. Culinary aggression can be fun, especially when followed by big helpings of delicious cake.

Wednesday: Selena Gomez
In case you didn't know, Selena Gomez want to be your classiest superstar. No raunchy moves and non-parent-approved lyrics for her. The girl knows how to put on a show, though. She rocked the house at Los Angeles' Staples Center with a set of big ballads, dance tunes, and very sheer costume changes.

Thursday: Kate Middleton
Remember when Kate Middleton disappeared for awhile and everyone got antsy in her absence? The world needs their daily fill of tailored coats, sensible shoes, and glossy locks. Luckily, that baby (George Alexander Louis) is in the world now, and we've got our Duchess of Cambridge back for good. This week's stylish outing included a dignified trip to Kensington Palace to support The Royal British Legion's London Poppy Day Appeal.
