comic-con movies
With Comic-Con just two weeks away, the movie panels still haven't been officially finalized, but we already know some key information about what fans will (and won't) get to see in San Diego this year. Let's break it down by day. Times are listed where they're known.

Wednesday, July 17th
You're Next, Screening and Q&A, 9pm
Director Adam Wingard's (V/H/S) slasher flick about a family reunion beset by masked murderers has won early praise. It'll be screened at the Reading Cinemas Gaslamp with the Q&A following immediately after. Wingard will join stars Sharni Vinson and Simon Barrett for the session.

Thursday, July 18th
Divergent, Panel with footage and Q&A, 2pm
Based on Veronica Roth's dystopian YA novel of the same name, Divergent is Summit's latest crack at developing the next Twilight-sized franchise. The panel will feature footage, and a Q&A featuring director Neil Burder along with stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Ben Lamb, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, and Christian Madsen.

Ender's Game, Panel with footage and Q&A, 3pm
The long-awaited adaptation of Orson Scott Card's seminal YA sci-fi classic is finally coming to Comic-Con. The biggest name at this panel will be Harrison Ford, but young stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, and Abigail Breslin will undoubtedly draw fans as well. Director Gavin Hood will join them.

Friday, July 19th
Veronica Mars, Panel discussion and Q&A, morning
Hot on the heels of a much-publicized and very successful Kickstarter campaign, the Veronica Mars movie will play to its fan base at Comic-COn with a Friday morning panel with creator Rob Thomas, actors Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Ryan Hansen, Jason Dohring, Tina Majorino, Krysten Ritter, Chris Lowell, Percy Daggs III, and Francis Capra. They'll be showing "a little bit" of early footage. The panel will be followed up by autograph signing (sorry, Bell won't be there), and in the evening a party attended by the panelists where attendants will get to see more footage from the movie.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Panel with footage and Q&A
With elements of Harry Potter, Twilight, and Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, the Mortal Instruments books have developed a fervent fan following that will likely show up in big numbers to support the new movie. Author Cassandra Clare and director Harald Zwart will join castmemebers Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, and Robert Sheehan.

Saturday, July 20th
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Panel with footage and Q&A
With a hit movie already under its belt, a newly minted Oscar winner as its star, and new readers falling in love with the books every day, the panel for the second Hunger Games movie is one of the most anticipated events of Comic-Con. Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth will be joined by the new director, Francis Lawrence.

I, Frankenstein, Panel with footage and Q&A
Underworld fans won't want to miss this one. With a script by Kevin Grevioux, who played the gigantic werewolf Raze in the Underworld movies, and a villain played by Bill Nighy (another Underworld alum), I, Frankenstein stars Aaron Eckhart as Frankenstein's monster. In this take on the classic character he's kind of like a superhero tasked with stopping the forces of evil. Eckhart, Nighy, and co-star Yvonne Strahovski will answer questions at the panel.
