Miley Cyrus was on a roller coaster of emotions during her first post-split performance at Saturday's iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. The newly single songstress twerked in a skimpy white outfit to kick off the set, then ended up breaking down in tears while singing her new hit "Wrecking Ball."
The singer brought out a group of little people to dance with her and the mushrooms, rainbows, and flowers during "We Can't Stop" and, of course, there was tons of booty-bumping involved. Miley even grabbed one dancer's butt. None of this should be shocking to anyone, given what she did to a foam finger on live television.
Instead, the surprising part came when she sang "Wrecking Ball" with tears streaming down her face. Now, of course this could have been the plan all along — everyone loves a public sobfest and she did it in the music video — but it seemed like an authentic display of emotion judging by the short clips that have made it to YouTube.
Also surprising: She wasn't sticking her tongue out through the entire performance.
