Hazy, dreamy, surreal. That's the message Lana Del Rey serves in her 13-second teaser for her short film Tropico. In the clip, the singer, wearing a lace veil, kneels down and recites "Dear John, forgive us our sins" over and over again. Out of the Instagram-y haze, a gun-totting man with a cowboy hat appears before everything goes black.
Del Rey has given little information about the 30-minute short, which is being produced by the one and only Rick Rubin. However, from the posters that the singer released earlier this summer via Twitter, we know that the story is a "tale of redemption told to the music of Body Electric God's and Monster's Bel Air." Rolling Stone also reports Del Rey has described the film as "Elvis and Jesus and Marilyn and extraterrestrials all in one." Woah, sounds like a hoot.
