In Cut Bank, Hemsworth stars as a former athlete turned auto mechanic who has high hopes and aspirations of packing up and leaving his small Montana town for good. However, he quickly discovers that his decision to leave sets off a series of deadly events that thrusts him into a police investigation lead by Sheriff Vogel (played by John Malkovich). Panic grips the small town, and quotidian life is changed forever.
The beautiful Teresa Palmer plays his pageant-hopeful girlfriend Cassandra, and Billy Bob Thorton, her self-aware father.
