You can bet there will be plenty of drama and excitement in the upcoming One Direction movie This is Us, but Taylor Swfit will not be part of the magic. But that's not because Harry Styles threw a fit about it or anything. Instead, it's all about the timing.
"It gets frustrating for them at times, because suddenly stuff gets printed that isn't even true," director Morgan Spurlock said in a Teen Vogue interview. "I saw an article that said, 'Harry Styles demands Taylor Swift be taken out of the movie.' But by the time we started filming in January, they had already split up."
And that's actually true. Harry and Taylor, fondly known as Haylor, spent only a few magical weeks together. They were first spotted on a cute date at Central Park, then got cupcakes together and made a trip to the tattoo parlor over the next few weeks, then they were dunzo right after New Year's. The two supposedly called it quits after a blowout fight while vacationing in paradise the first week of January.
