It looks like Selena Gomez is trying to keep pace with Justin Bieber in the ink department. The 20-year-old pop star and actress got her second tattoo over the weekend while in New York City.
After getting a small music note on her right wrist back in February, Gomez decided her next tat would be a series of Roman numerals placed across the nape of her neck. As you can see from the photo above, courtesy of famous tattoo artist Bang Bang, Gomez's new piece reads "LXXVI." (For those who haven't worried about Roman numerals since grade school, LXXVI translates to the number 76.)

The "76" tattoo may seem random, but Bang Bang, who has created permanent body art for other celebs like Rihanna, Vanessa Hudgens, and the Biebz, told the U.K.'s Daily Mail there's a great deal of significant behind the piece. "The tattoo was a tribute to a family member who [Selena] said means a lot to her," Bang Bang said. "Selena was nervous it might have been painful, so she held her best friend's hand the whole time. But she did a great job."
